Free videos for teaching about good character
The Howard G Wigglebottom book series now offers free animated videos, songs, lessons, and posters that teach kids about managing anger, telling the truth, bullying and more. If you haven’t read one of these character education books yet, Howard G Wigglebottom is a cute rabbit who gets himself into trouble and then learns important life lessons along the way. Some popular titles include “Howard G. Wigglebottom Learns to Listen”, a story about listening and paying attention; “Howard G. WiggleBottom Learns about Bullies”; and “Howard B. Wigglebottom and the Monkey on is Back” a story about how being honest, and telling the truth, feels better than lying. Now the character building stories are available as animated videos– for free.
Here at Talking with Trees books, we love stories about honesty, particularly when they show children that lying hurts on the inside. Teaching kids to pay attention to the voice in their head and the feeling in their heart, a.k.a their conscience, helps guide them to make good choices, even when an adult isn’t there to remind them. In this cute video, Howard G Wigglebottom learns that knowing you told the truth, even though it was hard, feels a lot better than living with lying.
A full range of Howard G. Wigglebottom books, including books on bullying, listening, honesty, and caring are also available on Amazon or check out more of the free videos at the We Do Listen Foundation site.
